Resolution for the Ontario Coalition of Aboriginal People—“Representation”
Whereas OCAP continues to expand its membership base and
Whereas Government communication is taking a more modern approach to communication with Aboriginal peoples and;
Whereas “Northern Development, Mines and Forests” is in fact taking on the role of a moving, living document in regards to the traditional homelands of our members;
Therefore be it resolved that the Board of Directors of OCAP, duly assembled on the 15th day of October, 2011 hereby appoints Jon MacDonald, a member of the OCAP Board of Directors resident in the Superior Robinson North geographic area, As Director of Mines and Forest and chief representative of OCAP in all matters pertaining to Mines, Forests and other related industries in the province of Ontario.
Further be it further resolved that the Director of Mines and Forests (Jon MacDonald) be given the authority to speak on behalf of OCAP in all such matters which the Director or OCAP may deem to affect Aboriginal peoples living in any area of Ontario represented by OCAP specifically in regards to mines and forests and related industry
